cheaper ??? why find something cheap just to enjoy to upgrade the thing surrounded by 1 year because it wont run anything or the cheap *** motherboard dies and fried your cheap hard drive ??



You can seize quality lacking going expensive.

Out of the Big 3 manufacturers Dell is the best, later HP, then Compcrap...

Emachines and Gateway are the worst



If you metamorphosis your mind and decide you want to buy something of part that you wont have to spend $500 fixing the piece of sh1t...

Try the Shuttle SK22G2. Its an inexpensive mini-pc and subdued. Its a barebones so you have to attach hardware, but the end product is much better than a crappy Dell.

We use dell at work, they break constantly, we replace parts all the time its worse than the Compaqs we used to hold.
No matter what brand you buy, after 3 months, you will get the impression it is slow... Go for brand name, dell, hp and ask the extend warranty for it. or buy a barebone to do D.I.Y
I bought my laptop from tigerdirect.com it is a bare bone tackle. I paid going on for $350 for everything except the monitor mouse and keyboard.
