I'm going to borrow a RAM card from a different computer temporarily. Can anything ensue to the card?

I stipulation a temporary upgrade surrounded by RAM, so instead of buying some now, I'm going to appropriate a RAM card out of one computer and put it in mine temporarily. Is near any way anything can ensue to the RAM card or the computer that's temporarily losing RAM? I know my computer will be better off getting its own fixed RAM, but I can't get any until Monday. And obviously, the computer temporarily losing RAM won't be on without it. Both computers are Compaq Presarios, however they're not the exact same model.

Make sure the RAM are suitable for the RAM Slot....so check to see if the RAM does fit within the slot; there are notch to make alignment uncomplicated...many types of desktop RAM here are: RDRAM, SDRAM, DDR RAM, DDR II.

Touch metal to get rid of any electrical charges on your body back you touch the RAM, or get a charge dispeller tackle
Nothing bad should surface unless you break the RAM in the process of swapping it around.
If the 2 RAM modules are indistinguishable, it should be fine. Are you taking out the RAM from another laptop? Then the other laptop can't run without any RAM on it. But if it's a short time ago for testing, as long as the RAM types are equal, it's ok!
Just make sure they whip the same RAM.

They use indistinguishable RAM? Other wise it won't work.

As said past, unless you break the stick during the install or removal it should be fine.
