Is going next to 2 better 320 MB Video cards a better concept than 2 slightly worse 512 MB ones?

My choices are....

2x ATI Radeon 7950 GT 512 MB

2x ATI Radeon 8800 GTS 320 MB

Is going next to 2 better 320 MB Video cards a better concept than 2 slightly worse 512 MB ones?

You might want to research a bit more, because ATI does not kind 8800 GTS cards, that is an nVidia product. If you are going to turn with two GTS cards - I would suggest getting the 640 MB variation and get the ones from ASUS.

On another information if you do go beside the 8800's make sure you enjoy ample power and cooling for this card. I am running a single ASUS nVidia 8800 GTS, in a high-ranking end Coolermax travel case and it still gets hot.

A suitable site for Video card reviews and comparisons is www.tomshardware.com

Hope all this help.
The newer cards are a better choice. By the way, the 8800GTS is an Nvidia card (Nvidia 8800GTS), not an ATI Radeon.
First of adjectives, those are nvidia GeForce cards, not Radeon. And if you were to acquire either of the sets, draw from the 8800gts', a single 8800gts performs somewhere as in a hurry or faster than 2 7950's. I think I'd be best to enjoy one 8800gtx if you have that much money to spend.
The GeForce 8800's really see some major butt... if you are putting two together, bring in sure that your system is SLI ready ! Why not free your money and buy just one 8800 GTX... only just one will absolutely blow you away and the 8 series Nvidia is the simply card that is Direct X 10 skilled and ready !!! They also fashion an 8600 GTS that is a bit cheaper and still hugely powerful !!!
you shouldn't base your verdict on how much on-board ram the cards hold. choose based on the video card. u can put in more ram to the computer next
