I use to burn DVD-R but immediately adjectives I can burn is DVD+R,I tryed different brands but no luck,also firmware upgrade

I own three burners and the do the same piece,show up as illegal disc,I own tried nero and clonedvd2 but no luck.

I think of dvd-r to be the beta max of VCRs. DVD+R is the instrument to go, so I do not see the problem. Although, if you just now upgraded the firmware, this would change the drive's practice, and make it simply work on DVD+R disks.
