and yes, the AMD FX quad core will fit indistinguishable motherboard as the AMD FX dual core

you could maybe ask a geek squad guy at best buy or someone close to that just to trademark sure that they are the same
Not predictable. A different socket is different. Some have 2 different name like socket 462 and socket A but socket l to socket f is doubtful.
