Is it the power supply?

OK, so my friend be on her computer, and she accidentally flipped off the switch on the power strip, cause her computer to turn off. She flipped the switch fund on, and everything that was plugged into the power strip worked, except her computer. It wouldn't turn on. I know there's a low probability of this arranged, but I think she may enjoy blown her power supply. A friend reminded me that if the hard drive be writing something when the power went bad, then it could enjoy been fried, but the computer won't even power up, so I digit it must be the power supply, right? If it is, then what's a dutiful manufacturer of power supplies to purchase a clean one from?

Is it the power supply?

Antec makes soaring quality, powerful, and especially reliable power supplies. I recommend getting them through newegg. And I believe you are right, if it was the thorny drive that fried the computer at least would turn on. It merely wouldn't be able to boot into window.
First try plugging the PC into a new outlet you know is worthy.
