Internet shortcut on desktop out of order?

everytime I click it take me to internet properties. I tried it a few times but it keeps showing merely internet properties.Whats wrong with it?

Don't dissipate your time troubleshooting this. Delete the icon and next create a new one or walk to All Programs and right click Internet Explorer icon create a shortcut and drag and drop it on to your Desktop. Should hold you all of 2 minutes or smaller quantity for the whole process.
Shortcuts can be terrifically slow... what I do is save a site or webpage to Favorites (right-click at the point of a particular site, and it will be save to favorites on your toolbar. It's much quicker than shortcutting.)
right click on it, then progress to properties and check the target line. this will narrate you where it think it should be taking you and you can correct it if you need to
Why stress, delete the statue and create a new shortcut. Troubleshooting statue properties is like troubleshooting the direction of the burger pasty on a bun.... It just doesn't business.
