I hold a dell dimension 8200 and it will not connect to the internet?

on the cable modem the ''receive'' neutral lights up but the send have no lights. i plugged a different desktop into the modem and it works fine. i think the ethernet port is ok because when i unplug it, it say ''network cable unplugged'' in the system tray. i tried updating the driver through the backup discs and still no be in motion. i went into the cmd prompt and typed ipconfig and the address is adjectives zero's the i typed ipconfig/renew listening to guidance i found in a forum and it say that is not a valid extension. i inevitability help any proposal?

If you are using Windows XP, you shouldn't have any problem. IF not, you going to entail to use the wizard CD or find a correct IP information for IPconfig.



If you do hold Windows XP, the connection between the modem and the service is invalid. You would necessitate to login into the router by typing in your homepage 192.XXX.XXXX . Please refer to your DSL modem almanac for more information.
